Report: (Paul Hugill) A very pleasant foray on a perfect English summer's day in a very picturesque location. Not much around though. An early fine display of Polyporus squamosus was then followed by Coprobia granulata on cow dung. The resupinate that looks like an old net curtain caused some short-lived excitement while being identified when measurements based on small spores implied a first for Britain, but alas it was not to be, and this was definitely a case where size mattered. Some larger, more representative spores set the record straight to make it Ceriporia reticulata. It isn't very common even though, with only seven records for North Hants on the FRDBI (25 for South Hants). The Peniophora rufomarginata was another interesting resupinate found on a twig under the avenue of limes leading from the old grange.
