Weather: A showery day following the first week of significant rainfall for a month.

Report: This was the first time the group had put on a display at Hillier Gardens alongside the usual foray activity in the grounds. Hillier Gardens has a light and airy room accessible from the lawns and provided us with excellent tables and help. Group members had collected about 120 species to display on the tables alongside books, leaflets, microscopes and children's activities. The morning foray was well attended and dispite dire predictions plenty of fungi were found to admire and discuss. During the day there was a stream of visitors to view the display who showed a keen interest in all things fungal. The group members present felt the activity should be repeated next year with some changes to the programme.
